An SRT file is plain text arranged into numbered subtitle lines, with a start and end time for every line. Uploading the recording here creates the words and timing together. You can review the transcript on screen, correct names and punctuation, and download a standard SRT for a video player, presentation system, editing tool, archive, or any other workflow that accepts subtitle files.

What is inside an SRT file?
Each entry contains a number, a start time, an end time, and the subtitle text. The file is plain text and can be opened in a text editor.
When should I choose VTT instead?
VTT is designed for video on the web and supports extra styling features. SRT has wider support across desktop players, presentation tools, and video software.
Can I edit the SRT before downloading?
Yes. Correct the transcript on screen first. The downloaded SRT then uses the reviewed text and its matching timing.
Can I make an SRT in another language?
